The staff at vets on crown are wonderful, we have taken our dog in for boarding over the years and also just recently and they genuinely care about the animals. During our dogs stay they provided us with updates on how our dog is during his stay at boarding and included photos of our dog. The staff take him for walks as well and gave him a complimentary bath during his 2 week stay. We definitely recommend Vets on Crown for pet boarding and their daycare services. These guys are awesome, I just have to say "do you want to go to Vets on Crown" and my dog Rocco gets excited about their boarding service. He loves the place and the staff there all know him well. He gets lots of play time and walks. There's never been a problem over the last 5 years and now he's there also monthly with our busy schedule. My wife and I live out past Windsor, so it's a long trip to drop him off, but it's a great drop off point on our way to the airport. We've tried the likes of Mad Paws and other boarding kenells out our way, but find them hugely over priced, without the same care and attention and it's great to have full vetenary service available if the need arises. The team at Vets On Crown are always welcoming, bookings are easy and feedback back on how he's going is just a phone call. Well done to the team, we love your service with a doggy cuddle.

As an owner of 4 dogs I am very careful to select the right veterinarian for the care of my little babies. New to the area, I did my research on practices, their services they provide, price and equipment on site. I was won over by Vets on Crown their prices are affordable compared to most and it was here I met Dr Cheryl Chan. Cheryl was amazingly warm and attentive to my dogs needs and mine also. She was patient, asked every question possible and was not rushed to get me in and out like most vets I’ve visited in the past. Rest assured that you and your pet will get the best of care in her hands. I was put at ease and my dogs cared for with the utmost of care. Vets on Crown are amazing!!! Thank you 🙏

I can’t recommend this vet clinic enough! My cat was very sick, and they took amazing care of her for a week, she came back completely healthy. The doctors and staff are so kind and professional. Even though I live over an hour away, I always make the drive because I know my cat is in the best hands here.
Just brought our dog Harvey to get groomed. Great experience from the groomer Tomoko, nice and friendly and made us feel really confident that our pup would be looked after properly (our dog can be a little anxious usually going to the groomer) 10/10 highly recommend. Love the VoC team! Our older pup Milo literally bounds up the stairs when we go for a check-up, something he's never done with other vets! Plus he gets loads of attention and play time when boarding, love how the team always sends us photos when he's "at camp!"
Exceptional vet! I have done puppy school, doggy day care and will do grooming very soon at this practice. They have been really good with my dog Klaus and I cannot say anything negative about them ! - Walking: ~25–30 minutes from Five Ways via Oxford Street. Pleasant walk with a well-behaved dog, less so with a pet in a carrier.
- Bus: the 333 and 440 routes run along Oxford Street — get off at Taylor Square, then a 12-minute walk south down Crown Street.
- Driving: ~5–7 minutes depending on Oxford Street traffic. Metered street parking near 537 Crown St.
- Light rail: not a direct option from most of Paddington — bus or car is faster.

Yes. Bring the referral letter and any imaging files — X-rays, ultrasound, blood results. The consult will walk through what the previous vet found, whether the recommendation stands up, and what the alternatives are if it doesn't. Yes. Cruciate ligament issues, iliopsoas strains, pad injuries and early arthritis are a regular part of the caseload here. X-ray and ultrasound are available onsite. For cases that need orthopaedic surgery, we refer to a specialist surgeon.
No. Prescription diets are recommended when a condition calls for them, not by default. Same for joint supplements and behavioural products. You'll get a written estimate before any procedure and a call if costs change mid-treatment.
Yes. Flag it at booking so reception can allocate a longer slot. First visits for anxious or traumatised dogs are often meet-and-greets with no handling — treats on the floor, no examination if the dog isn't ready. The goal is the second visit being easier than the first.
Vets on Crown is not a 24/7 hospital. From Paddington, the closest overnight options are SASH Alexandria (~8 minutes by car) and the Animal Referral Hospital in Homebush (~20 minutes by car). Save both numbers before you need them.
