About Vets on Crown and Our Team in Surry Hills
Learn the story behind Vets on Crown and meet the experienced team dedicated to keeping local cats and dogs healthy, happy and comfortable.

After years practising in the Sydney CBD, Dr Nima
saw that Surry Hills lacked a complete pet care centre. In 2017, he and his business partner opened Vets on Crown
. The goal was to bring trusted veterinary care, doggy daycare, grooming, and a boutique cattery together in one convenient location for local pet families.
Our modern veterinary hospital covers the essentials and the tricky bits. We handle check ups, vaccinations, desexing, dentistry, diagnostics, and surgery, with treatment plans that suit your routine and budget. The aim is simple: healthy pets and clear advice you can act on.
Since launch we have grown with the neighbourhood and its many four legged regulars. Dogs burn energy and gain confidence in our daycare
, cats settle into quiet boarding suites
, and grooming keeps coats comfortable and skin healthy. Having it all under one roof saves time and reduces stress for you and your pet.
We use gentle, low stress handling and calming pheromones throughout the clinic to make visits easier. Separate waiting zones and careful scheduling help nervous pets feel safe, and many are soon eager to return. Our team
is friendly, practical, and focused on care that fits your needs and lifestyle.
Meet Our Team
Dr Nima
Senior Veterinarian
Dr. Nima is our Head Vet and has been with Vets on Crown since day one. Dr. Nima has been practicing since 2004. He’s had a passion for medicine from a very young age, and with the love he had for animals, it wasn’t hard for him to choose to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. During his career, he has had the opportunity to work in rural NSW and Victoria, which gifted him a wealth of professional and personal knowledge.
Throughout his career, he has gained valuable experience in many areas of veterinary medicine, including complex medicine, soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, dentistry, and emergency and critical care.
Dr. Nima also enjoys teaching and mentoring young vets and vet nurses, inspiring them to practice the highest level of medical standards.
During his spare time, Dr. Nima enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, running, cycling, being in nature, and traveling.
When he gets time for a coffee break, he tries to spend them with Beth, the one-eyed cat he rescued a couple of years ago and homed at the clinic.
