Vets on Crown is just a street away from Darlinghurst
If you've taken your pet to three different locums in the past six months, or you've had to re-tell their full medical history every time you walk in — that's not normal, even if it's common. Vets on Crown is 1km south down Crown Street, about 12 minutes on foot from Taylor Square. Dr Nima founded the clinic at 537 Crown St in 2017 and still sees patients every day the clinic is open. Most of our Darlinghurst clients see the same vet from their pet's first puppy visit through to their last.

Sad time for me, but they were great & professional & friendly
Thanks for the super quick painless visit following a nasty cat fight. Hopefully we won’t need a return visit but it’s good to know you are close by.
I can’t recommend this vet clinic enough! My cat was very sick, and they took amazing care of her for a week, she came back completely healthy. The doctors and staff are so kind and professional. Even though I live over an hour away, I always make the drive because I know my cat is in the best hands here.
High standard of vet care and daycare, plus the staff genuinely love the animals. My dog loves coming here.
Great service and very friendly staff. Will definitely use again, we had a great experience when we brought our dog in for a check up when he wasn’t acting himself - turned out to be nothing major but the vet and staff helped us feel more comfortable from the moment we brought him in.
These guys are awesome, I just have to say "do you want to go to Vets on Crown" and my dog Rocco gets excited about their boarding service. He loves the place and the staff there all know him well. He gets lots of play time and walks. There's never been a problem over the last 5 years and now he's there also monthly with our busy schedule. My wife and I live out past Windsor, so it's a long trip to drop him off, but it's a great drop off point on our way to the airport. We've tried the likes of Mad Paws and other boarding kenells out our way, but find them hugely over priced, without the same care and attention and it's great to have full vetenary service available if the need arises. The team at Vets On Crown are always welcoming, bookings are easy and feedback back on how he's going is just a phone call. Well done to the team, we love your service with a doggy cuddle.
The vets are excellent, my dogs have always received excellent treatment from Dr Nima and Dr Michael. The nurses including Lisa, and all staff are very friendly and provide excellent care. Highly recommend their services.
Great staff very caring and passioante about what they do.
So caring & friendly. Very positive experience for me & my puppy.
Fantastic training space for our little girl Heidi to learn to socialise
These guys took such great care of my kitty when we came in at short notice and our girl needed emergency dental work. Vets on crown will be our go to vet from now on!
I take my dog Charlie there for day care after my friend recommended. So happy we have found this place, Charlie the beagle loves going there...he has so much fun and sleeps all the way home. The wonderful staff are always welcoming and provide feedback on his day. I thoroughly recommend Vetsbon Crown..100%

Frequently asked questions
About 1km south down Crown Street — 12 minutes on foot from Taylor Square, or 4 minutes by car.
Yes. Flag it when you book so reception can allocate a longer slot and a quiet consult room. The cat-only zone has calming pheromones, and we work slowly enough that the pet isn't being pinned down to get through the appointment. If handling is making things worse, we stop and talk through options rather than push through.
Yes, during business hours (Mon–Fri 7:30am–8pm, Sat/Sun 10am–4pm). Call (02) 9133 1300 first if you can, so we can triage before you arrive.
If you ask for a specific vet at booking, yes. Dr Nima has been consulting here since he founded the clinic in 2017, and most of our vets have been on the team for years. Even if your regular vet isn't in that day, the whole team works out of one physical clinic and shares notes on every patient — so whoever you see will know your pet's history.
Yes. Geriatric medicine is a substantial part of day-to-day work here. We handle ongoing monitoring, pain management, and quality-of-life conversations. If home euthanasia is the right option, we can refer to a colleague who provides this in the Darlinghurst area.
Vets on Crown is not a 24/7 hospital. From Darlinghurst, the closest overnight options are SASH Alexandria (~10 minutes by car) and the Sydney University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Camperdown (~12 minutes by car). Save both numbers before you need them.
