If you've taken your pet to three different locums in the past six months, or you've had to re-tell their full medical history every time you walk in — that's not normal, even if it's common. Vets on Crown is 1km south down Crown Street, about 12 minutes on foot from Taylor Square. Dr Nima founded the clinic at 537 Crown St in 2017 and still sees patients every day the clinic is open. Most of our Darlinghurst clients see the same vet from their pet's first puppy visit through to their last.

Our reviews
Took my puppy after he had been having gastro issues on and off. Previous vet treated him with antibiotics but did not run a secondary test afterwards to see if it had cleared as they thought it wouldn’t be necessary. Well, he got sick again and that’s when I took him to Vets on Crown who did fecal test which came back with not only the same bug he had before but another 2! After 17 days on antibiotics followed by repeat tests it is now cleared
Very compassionate, dedicated staff.Highly trained and devoted. Offer a comprehensive, good quality, professional service at an acceptable cost.
Helen at Vets On Crown is amazing! She was so kind and thorough in explaining how to care for my new puppy. Her attention to detail and patience made me feel confident as a new pet owner. Fantastic service—highly recommend!
We came on Sunday with our poor little friend who had an accident the night before. We didn't have an appointment but the staff was understanding and helpful. Big THANK YOU for all Vets on Crown
Great STAFF WOULD NOT HESITATE TO TAKE YOUR THERE. WILL BE WELL LOOKED AFTER
Vets On Crown makes my cats healthy and therefore happy. If my cats are happy, I’m happy
Cannot recommend this place highly enough, Nima and his team are amazing, it has daycare for our little puppy, they even have the best groomer in Sydney plus puppy school. Everything you need is under the one roof!
Very helpful, efficient and friendly service. They always look after my girl 🐈⬛ They have a room just for cats with feliway plugged in too which is good for calming visits down. …
Highly recommended! Dealt with five team members from booking, drop-off, to pickup, all were friendly, helpful and highly professional. Left us feeling very conformable our 1yo staffy would be well looked after, and she was! She was very happy, and very tired from the socialisation, slept like a baby that night! Boarding rates are very good and having the vets available is a huge convenience too. Well done team for delivering an exceptional service.
Very professional and friendly staff . My pet loved it and had fun time. He gets so excited to stay there and service is very reliable with good quality.
Just brought our dog Harvey to get groomed. Great experience from the groomer Tomoko, nice and friendly and made us feel really confident that our pup would be looked after properly (our dog can be a little anxious usually going to the groomer) 10/10 highly recommend. We look forward to bringing him again to his new friend Tomoko. Fionan & Aisling

Frequently asked questions
About 1km south down Crown Street — 12 minutes on foot from Taylor Square, or 4 minutes by car.
Yes. Flag it when you book so reception can allocate a longer slot and a quiet consult room. The cat-only zone has calming pheromones, and we work slowly enough that the pet isn't being pinned down to get through the appointment. If handling is making things worse, we stop and talk through options rather than push through.
Yes, during business hours (Mon–Fri 7:30am–8pm, Sat/Sun 10am–4pm). Call (02) 9133 1300 first if you can, so we can triage before you arrive.
If you ask for a specific vet at booking, yes. Dr Nima has been consulting here since he founded the clinic in 2017, and most of our vets have been on the team for years. Even if your regular vet isn't in that day, the whole team works out of one physical clinic and shares notes on every patient — so whoever you see will know your pet's history.
Yes. Geriatric medicine is a substantial part of day-to-day work here. We handle ongoing monitoring, pain management, and quality-of-life conversations. If home euthanasia is the right option, we can refer to a colleague who provides this in the Darlinghurst area.
Vets on Crown is not a 24/7 hospital. From Darlinghurst, the closest overnight options are SASH Alexandria (~10 minutes by car) and the Sydney University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Camperdown (~12 minutes by car). Save both numbers before you need them.
