Always here for you

Vets on Crown is one of the closest full-service veterinary clinics to Redfern. Located at 537 Crown Street in Surry Hills, we're a short walk from Redfern Station and the surrounding streets — making us an easy choice for pet owners across Redfern, from Regent Street to Phillip Street and everywhere in between. Our clinic offers everything under one roof: routine check-ups, vaccinations, dental care, surgery, emergency treatment, diagnostic imaging, dog grooming, doggy daycare, and cat and dog boarding. We're open 7:30 am to 8:00 pm on weekdays, with weekend and public holiday hours too — so whether it's a routine visit or something more urgent, we're here when your pet needs us. Our vets have over 37 years of combined experience and have been caring for pets at this location for more than 25 years. We take the time to listen, explain your options clearly, and make sure both you and your pet feel comfortable every step of the way.

Why Vets On Crown?

  • Minutes from Redfern, Not Miles

Our clinic sits at the southern end of Crown Street, just north of Cleveland Street — which means most Redfern pet owners can reach us in under 10 minutes on foot. If you're driving, there's street parking along Crown Street and surrounding side streets, and we're easily accessible via Bourke Street or Baptist Street. No motorway drives, no crossing the bridge — just a genuinely local vet within your neighbourhood.

  • One Clinic for Everything Your Pet Needs

Instead of juggling separate trips to the vet, the groomer, and the boarding kennel, Redfern pet owners can handle it all in one visit. We offer veterinary consultations, surgery, dental care, X-rays and ultrasounds, professional dog grooming, doggy daycare, and both dog and cat boarding — all on-site at 537 Crown Street. It's the kind of convenience that makes a real difference when you're managing a busy inner-city schedule.

  • Extended Hours That Fit Around Your Life

We know many Redfern residents work long hours or commute into the CBD. That's why we're open from 7:30 am to 8:00 pm Monday to Friday, with Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday hours from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Early morning drop-offs, after-work appointments, or weekend check-ups — we've structured our hours so your pet's care doesn't have to compete with the rest of your week.

Really good team and surprisingly cheap compare to other veterinary clinics I have visited in the past. They took good care of my pets and gave me many treatments options that other clinics didn’t. Would recommend.

Thank you all so much for looking after my Ruby, my cat. Dr Nema thank you for your thorough investigation. Much gratitude to Dr Chole for emotional support and gentle care in seeing My Ruby through her journey. Thank you all for the lovely card with Ruby's paw prints and little bottle of fur. I took that to work and showed it to everyone. That's so special to me. 🙏❤️

Took my puppy after he had been having gastro issues on and off. Previous vet treated him with antibiotics but did not run a secondary test afterwards to see if it had cleared as they thought it wouldn’t be necessary. Well, he got sick again and that’s when I took him to Vets on Crown who did fecal test which came back with not only the same bug he had before but another 2! After 17 days on antibiotics followed by repeat tests it is now cleared

Just lovely, wonderful caring staff. Thank you for making a heartbreaking situation so calm we are so thankful. For those wondering, there is wheelchair access just on the side of the building. Looks deceiving with the steps but access is all good.
